General Handling Techniques

Would you like more hands-on experience with reptiles? Do you want to learn how best to manipulate and restrain herpetofauna during sampling or research? Or do you want to learn how to determine the sex of reptiles and amphibians in a safe and correct way? Then our practical training on general handling and restraining techniques is something for you!

Today, as a zookeeper, veterinarian, biologist or hobbyist, you often only rely on limited or sporadic practical experience to learn how to do a proper sex determination, a safe restraining or how to take samples from herpetofauna. This training gives you the opportunity to learn the basics of handling and restraining in a safe and animal-friendly way. During the training you will learn the general techniques for handling, sampling, restraining and sex determination in snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs and salamanders.
