What do we do?
At H.E.R.P., reptiles and amphibians take center stage! We serve as an advisory center for everything related to these fascinating animals. In addition, we organize educational workshops about cold-blooded animals for schools and offer training programs and practical courses for individuals, students, and professionals alike.
We are also actively involved in research and conservation projects. Finally, we organize unique herpetological expeditions several times a year to some of the world’s most remarkable locations, open to anyone with a passion for reptiles and amphibians!
Our mission
H.E.R.P. was founded in 2015 by herpetologists Bryan Minne and Laura Ruysseveldt with the goal of improving the welfare of exotic animals, both in captivity and in the wild. Our mission is to connect people with nature and give everyone the opportunity to experience the excitement and beauty of these incredible creatures.
Through our lectures and courses, we aim to raise awareness about the presence and well-being of reptiles and amphibians in captivity. We also address important topics such as the benefits and challenges of the exotic animal trade.
