General handling techniques

Are you eager to gain more hands-on experience with reptiles? Do you want to learn how to best handle and restrain herpetofauna during sampling or research? Or do you wish to understand how to determine the sex of reptiles and amphibians safely and accurately? Then our practical training on general handling and restraint techniques is perfect for you!

Today, as an animal caretaker, veterinarian, biologist, or enthusiast, you often rely only on limited or occasional practical experiences to learn about sex determination, handling, or sampling of herpetofauna. This course offers you the opportunity to learn the basics of handling and restraining in a safe and animal-friendly manner.

Throughout the training, you will acquire general techniques for handling, sampling, restraint, and sex determination in snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs, and salamanders.
